Why Does The Oil Of The Non-stick Pan Foam?

Jul 08, 2021

Non-stick pan is our commonly used kitchenware, it is still very convenient to use, it can reduce the amount of oil used, and the oil fume will not be too big. Because of the special coating inside, it is not easy to stick to the pan when cooking. However, when cooking in a non-stick pan, the cooking oil is easy to foam. This is generally normal. So why does the oil in a non-stick pan foam?

The oil will foam when cooking in a non-stick pan, most of which are oil problems. It may be that the oil has not been refined or completely precipitated and contains impurities. It may also be because the phospholipids in the oil are transferred to the oil during the oil production process, and the phospholipids have emulsifying properties, which will produce a lot of foam during cooking and heating. In addition, if the water is not completely volatilized during the frying process, it may also cause the oil to foam.

When cooking, heat the oil with heat first. When pouring food and utensils, it is best to drain the surface water, especially the water in the meat. Since the meat is basically taken out of the refrigerator, it will contain some water. When cooking, you can boil the surface moisture of the meat first, and then add a little oil to cook.

What to do if there is foam in nonstick cooking

Blistering is normal. Because the liquid will be heated after oil is added, the air in the liquid is slowly released and bubbles will be generated. Therefore, whether it is boiling water or non-stick pan, bubbles are normal. You can wash the pot before burning the oil. Let it dry thoroughly before cooking.

When cooking, it is best to heat the pot with a low heat first, and then burn the oil with a medium heat. Slowly heating the air will slowly exhaust the air. Otherwise, the temperature is too high, it is easy to produce foam. While cooking. First use warm heating oil. When pouring food and vegetables, it is best to drain the surface water, especially meat. Because the meat is basically taken out of the refrigerator. So it will contain some water. Precautions for the use of non-stick pan

Be careful when using non-stick pans, do not dry or fry food at high temperatures for a long time, and the cooking temperature must not exceed 230°C. In addition, pay special attention not to use metal utensils to scratch the surface of non-stick kitchenware. Using a wire brush on a non-stick pan will easily scratch the coating. If there are stubborn stains on the non-stick pan, you can soak it in hot water for a period of time, and then use a sponge, towel, etc. to clean it with detergent.

During the cooking process, slight scratches left by the non-stick pan will not affect normal use. If improper use will cause the coating to fall off and affect the use effect, you can consider replacing the pot at this time.
